During the mornings and at sunset each day, there is less daylight. A difference in when the sun goes down makes the temperatures drop, making it colder.

Soon the gardens will start to fade, but the good news is there will be no grass cutting.

High and low temperatures and precipitation for Aug. 25 through Aug. 31 were as follows: Aug. 25 – 75°, 55° (85°, 54°), Aug. 26 – 73°, 48° (88°, 56°), Aug. 27 – 74°, 44° (90°, 63°), Aug. 28 – 73°, 45° (93°, 64°), Aug. 29 – 75°, 50° (90°, 65°, .01”), Aug. 30 – 74°, 44° (85°, 64°) and Aug. 31 – 75°, 47° (81°, 63°, 1.63”).

Total rainfall for August was 2.29”, compared to 7.11 in August of 2024.

Year-to-date rainfall is 36.73”, compared to 41.98” for the same time period last year.
