Teresa L. Harper, 68, of Seneca Rocks left her earthly home after a courageous battle with cancer on March 18, 2026, at WV Caring Hospice in Elkins, surrounded by her family.
She was born on April 28, 1957, in Petersburg, the daughter of the late Fay Howard and Dorothy Louise (Nelson) Bennett.
Ms. Harper was a 1975 graduate of Circleville High School and was a member of High Rock Church.
She had a big heart. She enjoyed babysitting and loved her pets, Lily, Tigger, Macie, Gracie, Benley, Halo, Missy, and Rowdy.
She was a loving mother and homemaker and had cleaned for several businesses. Her passion was photography and spending time with her family. She encompassed all aspects of life and left a legacy to be cherished.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory four daughters, Lisa Montgomery (Kenny) of Grafton, Joanie Carr (Doug) and Betsy Bland (Elvis), all of Seneca Rocks, and Amy Cook (Kasie) of Maysville; a brother, Gregory Howard Bennett (Cindy) of Circleville; four grandchildren, Jaimee Carr (Matt), Tyler Carr, Matthew Shahan (Amy), and Makenzie Shahan; nieces and nephews, Candi, Philip, Randy, Miranda and Betty; life-long sisters, Lucy Kisamore of Riverton and Rebecca Funk (Mike) of Rowlesburg; and several great-nieces and -nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at High Rock Church in Seneca Rocks with Pastor J.D. Wilkins officiating. Private interment was in the Teresa Harper Family Cemetery at Seneca Rocks.
