Anna Lee Crites, 93, died Sunday, March 22, 2026, at her home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
She was born Aug. 21, 1932, at Kline and was the daughter of the late Paul Hevener and Bessie Calhoun Hevener.
Mrs. Crites was a 1950 graduate of Franklin High School and had worked as a bookkeeper.
She had lived in the Baltimore, Maryland, area before moving to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in later years.
She was a member of the Assembly of God Church and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Her husband, Vernon “Buck” Crites, preceded her in death.
Surviving are a daughter, Lynette Crites of Bel Air, Maryland; a son, Ronald Crites (Wendell) of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; a sister, Nancy Wallace of Ladysmith, Virginia; a granddaughter, Cathi Bartynski (Matt) of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and four great-grandchildren, Connor, Sydney, Maddie and Harrison.
She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Cynthia Ann Crites; a brother, Paul “Rennie” Hevener; and two sisters, June Hevener and Yvonne Riley.
The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Friday at the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Samuel Sponaugle officiating. Interment will be in Kline Cemetery.
