The Brandywine Elementary and North Fork Elementary schools have received school supply donations from a small business in the county. Samantha Puffenbarger, who owns SP Photography, decided to use her skills and talent to give back to the community.

“I offer free back-to-school photos for all kids who donate school supplies,” Puffenbarger said.

This is the fourth year in a row SP Photography has offered photos for school supplies to parents in the county.

“This year I collected enough school supplies to donate a tote full of items to each teacher in both Brandywine Elementary and North Fork Elementary,” Puffenbarger said.

Ryan Lambert, principal at BES and Lisa Roberson, principal at NFES accepted the donations.

“They both just wanted thank the parents for the generous donations,” added Puffenbarger.

Puffenbarger said that she plans to continue to do this every year and she “hopes it will grow.”

She added, “I started offering back-to-school photos for school supplies because I think teaching is the most underrated profession and they (teachers) deserve so much more. My goal is to just help in a small way to show that I appreciate all the teachers and help make their year a little easier.”

“I just want to say, it’s not much, but it’s something. I’m thankful for the teachers,” Puffenbarger concluded.
