With the new month starting, it is the half way of the year. During the month of June, a lot of strange weather happened. There were a few days of 90 degree temperatures, plus large amounts of rainfall. The writer and also a recorder for the weather has never in his time recorded more than 11 inches of rain in a month.

High and low temperatures and precipitation for June 30 through July 6, followed by the same for last year, were as follows: June 30 – 85°, 68°, .28″ (89°, 71°, .15″), July 1 – 83°, 67°, .98″ (77°, 51°), July 2 – 81°, 66°, .08″ (81°, 47°), July 3 – 82°, 59° (90°, 60°), July 4 – 85°, 59° (83°, 69°, 1.84″), July 5 – 86°, 60° (93°, 68°, .01″) and July 6 – 88°, 59° (88°, 67°).

Total rainfall for June was 11.37″, compared to 1″ in June of 2024.

Year-to-date rainfall is 28.09″, compared to 17.72 for the same time period in 2024.
