The month of January is over and Mr. Winter put his money’s worth into that month. The area had more than 24 inches of snow, plus cold mornings. At least, the snow put moisture into the ground.

Prayer thought: “Thank you Jesus, for your saving work on the cross that reconciles me to God and gives me a new life. Let’s enjoy the fresh start God has given us through Jesus.”
High and low temperatures and precipitation for Jan. 31 through Feb. 6, followed by the same for last year, were as follows: Jan. 31 – 35°, 12° (32°, 25°, 5.5” snow); Feb. 1 – 40°, 11° (31°, 27°, 2.25” snow); Feb. 2 – 49°, 19°, .36” (29°, 24°); Feb. 3 – 50°, 37°, .72” (34°, 23°); Feb. 4 – 48°, 20° (49°, 8°); Feb. 5 – 27°, 14° (36°, 25°) and Feb. 6 – 33°, 10° (38°, 28°).
Total rainfall for January was 1.18”, compared to 1.65” in January of 2021.
Total snowfall for January was 24.75”, compared to 5.5” in January of 2021.
