The gun season for deer has been over since New Year’s Day, and now the deer are starting to come out of the woods. Since there is more daylight and the grass is starting to get green, the deer are taking an advantage to get their bellies full.

High and low temperatures and precipitation for Feb. 13 through Feb. 19, followed by the same for last year, were as follows: Feb. 13 – 55°, 23° (35°, 21°, 2.5” snow); Feb. 14 – 61°, 30° (26°, 13°); Feb. 15 – 70°, 39° (42°, 10°); Feb. 16 – 51°, 38°, .75” (51°, 32°); Feb. 17 – 54°, 25°, .46” (61°, 48°, .7”); Feb. 18 – 49°, 18° (57°, 29°, .18) and Feb. 19 – 60°, 33° (33°, 20°).
