Good-bye hot and humid August, hello September. This is a start of the cooling down period, getting ready for fall.

Come out this Friday and support the local high school football team. The volleyball team has already started its season, but they also need the county’s support to cheer them on.

High and low temperatures and precipitation for Aug. 22 through Aug. 28, followed by the same for last year, were as follows: Aug. 22 – 79°, 62° (71°, 57°, 2.78”); Aug. 23 – 80°, 60°, .03” (64°, 53°); Aug. 24 – 82°, 56° (65°, 40°); Aug. 25 – 84°, 57°, .1” (69°, 42°); Aug. 26 – 82°, 58° (71°, 46°); Aug. 27 – 84°, 59°, (81°, 43°) and Aug. 28 – 87°, 60° (77°, 60°).
