The first month of 2026 is in the books and at the very end it was the hardest that area residents have seen. The ice on top of the snow made it hard to get around, and it didn’t help with the cold weather. This week is a little warmer than last week and some of the ice/snow should melt.

High and low temperatures and precipitation for Jan. 26 through Feb. 1 were as follows: Jan. 26 – 26°, 9° (42°, 26°), Jan. 27 – 27°, 2° (46°, 27°), Jan. 28 – 24°, 10° (42°, 20°), Jan. 29 – 22°, 5° (45°, 34°), Jan. 30 – 21°, 4° (47°, 27°, .16”), Jan. 31 – 18°, 2° (51°, 37°, .95”) and Feb. 1 – 26°, 6° (40°, 23°, .02”).

Total rainfall for January was .95”, compared to 1.12” in January of 2025.

Total snowfall for January was 4.5”, compared to 12.5” in January of 2025.
