It’s that time of the year when farmers get their hay equipment out and proceed to the fields to cut the hay. If Mother Nature was on the farmers’ side with no rain, the fields would be cut.

High and low temperatures and precipitation for May 27 through June 2, followed by the same for last year, were as follows: May 27 – 78°, 59° (72°, 38°); May 28 – 74°, 47°, .07” (66°, 52°); May 29 – 65°, 46°, 09” (68°, 55°, .66”); May 30 – 69°, 49° (71°, 56°, .06”); May 31 – 71°, 37° (79°, 49°); June 1 – 78°, 41° (81°, 45°) and June 2 – 70°, 57°, .07” (83°, 46°).
Total rainfall for May was 4.08”, compared to 5.13” in May of 2023.
Year-to-date rainfall is 16.72”, compared to 14.12” for the same time period last year.
