The writer wishes a “Happy Mother’s Day” to all mothers. This day only comes once a year, but every day should be an honor to those who earn it.

Another month has started, and the daylight is getting longer. The farmers are turning the ground over, getting ready for planting.

High and low temperatures and precipitation for April 25 through May 1, followed by the same for last year, were as follows: April 25 – 73°, 50° (58°, 38°); April 26 – 60°, 37° (71°, 34°); April 27 – 55°, 35° (81°, 42°); April 28 – 58°, 33° (82°, 59°); April 29 – 63°, 28° (79°, 58°, .07”); April 30 – 64°, 34° (59°, 40°, .01”) and May 1 – 75°, 47°, .08” (83°, 57°).

Total rainfall for April was 3.26”, compared to 3.27” in April of 2021. Year-to-date rainfall is 9.61” compared to 8.65” for the same time period last year.

Snowfall for April was 3.25”. Year-to-date snowfall is 32.25”.
