
Julia Mongold, Zykijah Wright and Branson Smith have been named outstanding students of the month for April at Pendleton County Middle/High School.
Mongold, a senior, is the James Huffman Responsible Student of the Month at PCHS. She is the daughter of Jordon Mongold and Jaclyn Jameson. She is a member of FFA and plays on the PCHS basketball and softball teams. She is on the A/B Honor Roll. Her plans are to obtain her CDL license and drive a truck for Milstead Hauling.
A senior, Wright is the Academic Student of the Month at PCHS. He likes playing sports and video games. He enjoys eating out, going to the movies and spending time with his family and friends. For several years, he has placed first at Math Field Day. His plans are to attend James Madison University to major in computer science with hopes of joining the FBI. He is the son of Dezira Wright of Franklin.
Smith, a seventh grader, is the Pendleton County Middle School Student of the Month. His parents are Jerry and Jennifer Smith. He resides in Upper Tract with his family. He participates in 4-H and enjoys farming and showing cattle. He wishes to be a cattle farmer when he grows up.
These students receive a T-shirt, $50 from Pendleton Community Bank, and movie, bowling and ice cream passes courtesy of South Branch Cinema 6 & South Branch Potomac Lanes.
