Judith Cunningham Ours

Judith Cunningham Ours, 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Nov. 17, 2025. She had fought a courageous battle with cancer and passed at Pendleton Manor in Franklin.

She was born March 6, 1941, in Onego to the late Joy Teter Cunningham Hedrick and she was raised by her loving aunt and uncle, the late Mabel and Thomas Pendleton Bowers

Mrs. Ours was a 1961 graduate of Circleville High School.

She was a loving mother and homemaker and was a member of the Methodist Church in Onego.

On July 5, 1963, she married Clyde Ours, who preceded her in death on Dec. 4, 2017.

Surviving are two daughters, Angelia Ours Smith (Randal) of Reeds Creek and Melissa Ours Conrad (David) of Cabins; six grandchildren, Brittany Smith Mitters (Cody), Lindsey Smith and Ryan Conrad, all of Franklin, Kevin Smith (Ryanne) of Petersburg, Aaron Conrad of Shepherdstown and Emily Conrad of Cabins; two great-grandchildren, Jase and Gatlin Mitters; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She cared for an infant niece, Jacqueline in 1964 whom she fondly remembered. She also leaves behind her beloved cat, Bear.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Rosalie Cunningham Harper and Joan Cunningham Day; and a half brother, Paul Raines.

Funeral services were held Thursday in the chapel of the Basagic Funeral Home chapel in Franklin with Pastor Sherry Shaffer officiating. Interment was at Cherry Hill Cemetery in Upper Tract.
