Jessie Josephine (Davis) Kimble

Jessie Josephine (Davis) Kimble, 89 of McHenry, Maryland, went to be with her Lord on March 22, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on April 23, 1935, in Kitzmiller, Maryland, and was a daughter of the late Clyde Charles Davis and Cora Susan (Hanlin) Davis.

Mrs. Kimble was a 1953 graduate of Bayard High School.

She was a member of Smoke Hole Assembly of God Church and later the Moorefield Assembly of God Church where she was the Women’s Ministry leader. She attended the Glendale Assembly of God Church in Swanton, Maryland.

Her husband, Brison Edward Kimble, preceded her in death in 2012.

Surviving are a daughter, Jodie Lynn Thomas of McHenry, Maryland; a grandson, Samuel Edward Thomas and wife, Jennifer; a great-granddaughter, Klara; a sister, Donna Sue Reall and husband, Larry of Ridgely; a brother, David B. Davis and wife, Ruth of Elk Garden; a sister-in-law, Darlene Davis of Elk Garden; a brother-in-law, Harold Gillaspie of Mt Storm; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Glennadine Davis and Marilyn Davis Gillaspie; and a brother, Ralph Dale Davis.

A funeral service was held Tuesday in the chapel of the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg with the Rev. Paul Goldizen officiating. Interment was at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Petersburg.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Garrett County, PO Box 271, Oakland, MD 21550.
