Lenten Lunches Begin Today
The annual Lenten Lunches hosted by the Pendleton County Ministeral Association began at noon today at Walnut Street United Methodist Church in Franklin.
A meal, consisting of soups, sandwiches, desserts and drinks, will be served at noon. A Lenten message will be delivered at 12:30 p.m.
This week’s meal will be provided by Friends Run and Smith Creek Churches of the Brethren. The message will be delivered by David Morris, pastor of the Smith Creek and Friends Run Churches of the Brethren.
Next week’s meal will be provided by Circleville and Seneca Rocks churches. The message will be delivered by Gary Cecil.
All donations will support the mission of the ministerial assocation as it seeks to serve those in need in Pendleton County.
Family Support Center To Host Tax Preparation Sessions
The Pendleton County Strive to Thrive Family Support Center on Main Street in Franklin is holding two free tax preparation sessions.
The sessions will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday and on March 21. To schedule an appointment or for more information, call 304-538-7711.
PDC To Host Planning Meeting
The Region 8 Planning and Development Council invites Potomac Highlands community leaders to participate in planning the region’s future by helping the council update its regional development plan.
A meeting will be held at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 26 at Mullin’s 1847 Resturant in Moorefield. A light lunch will be provided.
