
Anna Elizabeth “Libby” Hoover, 83, of Brandywine passed away on Sept. 19, 2025, at Augusta Health Center in Fishersville, Virginia.
She was born on Nov. 9, 1941, in Brandywine, the daughter of the late Emery Luther and Flodie (Miller) Nesselrodt.
Mrs. Hoover attended Franklin High School and was a member of the Brandywine Baptist Church.
She had worked for 33 years at Hanover Shoe Company in the hand sewing and cutting department. She took pride in her family and loved spending time with them.
On Sept. 13, 1958, she married the love of her life, Harlan Woodrow “Woody,” who survives.
In addition to her husband, she leaves behind to cherish her memory two daughters, Karen Simon (Larry) of Franklin and Rhonda Stump of Brandywine; two sisters, Lillian Nesselrodt of Brandywine and Arlene Dahmer of Newark, Delaware; two granddaughters, Sheena Simon and Tasha Marshall; and six great-grandchildren, Croix, Kamron, Blake, Ella, Delaney, and Haley.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Tyson, Orvin and Bennie Nesselrodt.
Funeral services were held Tuesday in the chapel of the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin with Pastor Tim Weaver officiating. Interment was at the Pine Hill Cemetery in Brandywine.
