Amby Waybright, Jr., 71, of Sugar Grove passed away Aug. 25, 2025, at Sentara RMH in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
He was born Aug. 28, 1953 at Petersburg and was the son of the late Amby Waybright, Sr. and Margaret Virginia Whisman Waybright.
Mr. Waybright was a 1971 graduate of Franklin High School and had worked at Hanover Shoe Company, Lantz Construction and Blue Ridge Lumber.
He never married.
He is survived by a number of cousins.
A funeral service was held Aug. 28 in the chapel of the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin with Pastor Mike Loudermilk officiating. Interment was at the Waybright Cemetery.
