Last Sunday, the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree made a stop in Upper Tract on its tour through much of eastern West Virginia. The Pendleton County Convention and Visitors Bureau, along with Swilled Dog, Pendleton County Farmers Market and Grant County Convention and Visitors Bureau, worked together on the months-long planning of the visit. Amber Nesselrodt of the Pendleton County CVB also thanked local law enforcement, fire and rescue units, T&K Markets, Hubbard Construction, Potomac Hardware, Pendleton Community Bank, and Summit Community Bank.
This team did much of the work to make the visit a reality. Before the official visit at Upper Tract, the crew hauling the tree called ahead and ordered Yokum’s famous West Virginia style hot dogs. The iconic tree parked beneath the iconic landmark.
