On Feb. 1, North Fork Elementary School hosted a dual County Science and Social Studies Fair. Students, grades three through eight, from all four county schools participated.
Winners were as follows:
Science Division 1 (grades three to five):
Physics — Ross Pownell, second, and Owen Champ, third;
Material Science — Harley Bowers, second; and
Behavioral Social Science — Marion Williams, second.
Science Division 2 (grades six through eight):
Medical Science — Mason Harper, honor mention;
Chemistry — Ava Sherman, first, Abigail Judy, second, Vaylee Harper, third, and Ava Bowers, honorable mention;
Environmental Earth Science — Katie Heavner, first, and Chloe Kisamore, second;
Material Science — Dylan Eye, first;
Math and Data — Sam Eason, second;
Plant Science — Shayne Clutter, honorable mention; and
Animal Science — Tatum Aumann, second, and Hannah Heavner, third.
