Edith P. Winegard, 93, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away on Feb. 4, 2024.

Mrs. Winegard was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly. A devoted Christian, she was a member of Williamson Road Church of the Brethren.

Her husband of 67 years, Shirldon Winegard, survives.

Also surviving are a son, Shirldon Winegard Jr. (Tina); grandchildren, Julie, Amanda, Shirldon III, and Aaron; two great-granddaughters; a brother, Carl Puffenbarger; a sister, Barbara Barker; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Hartley; brothers, Irvin, Dewey, Virgil, Bruce, and Ona Puffenbarger; and a sister, Goldie Smith.

Funeral services were held Feb. 8 at Oakey’s Funeral Service – North Chapel in Roanoke, Virginia, with Pastor Susan Gibson officiating. Following the funeral service, a graveside service officiated by Pastor Terri Luzynski was held at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.

Memorial donations may be made to Williamson Road Church of the Brethren, 3110 Pioneer Road NW, Roanoke, VA 24012.
