Born on Feb. 15, 1942, in Franklin, she was a daughter of the late Cornelia Bowers Thompson.
Ms. Pittman was a huge Stingrays fan and attended many hockey games. She was even loved by the mascot Cool Ray. She loved to paint and many of her paintings hang in the family home. She loved puzzles, solitaire, mystery games and gardening.
Surviving are a son, James Pittman of Goose Creek, South Carolina; and a grandson, Jimmy Pittman of Goose Creek, South Carolina.
Funeral services were held Saturday in the Basagic Funeral Home chapel in Franklin. Interment was at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Franklin.
