Pendleton County was well represented at the 106th an-nual Tri-County Fair in Petersburg.
After weeks of working with cattle, goats, hogs or sheep, Pendleton County youth showed their animals at the fair. With tears in their eyes, some of the exhibitors sold their market animals.
During the week, 4-H and FFA members from Grant, Hardy and Pendleton counties showed 73 market beeves, 49 breeding beeves, 40 feeder calves, 109 market lambs, 66 breeding sheep, 125 market hogs and 85 market goats. Of these, 281 animals were sold in the livestock sale.
In addition to 4-H’ers showing their animals, 252 4-H projects from Pendleton County were on display.
