Pendleton FFA Members Place in Regional Contests

The Eastern Regional FFA Scholastic Contests were held April 10 at Pendleton County Middle/High School. FFA members from East Hardy High School, Moorefield Middle School, Moorefield High School, Petersburg High School, Pendleton County Middle/High School and Tucker High School participated in the contests.

Pendleton County’s parliamentary procedure team, composed of Lani Fertig, Lydia Heavner, McKenna Hedrick, Ella Johnston, Gena Lambert and Makayla Tingler, earned first place.

Katie Heavner earned second place in the freshman creed contest.

In the upper classman creed contest, Kiera Heavener placed second.

First place winner in the prepared public speaking contest for high school members was Lydia Heavner.

Ty Heavner placed second in the extemporaneous speaking competition.

First place winners qualify to advance to the state competition at the state FFA convention in July.

All winners were presented certificates by Ron Hudson, local FFA advisor.
