Pamela Sue Rexrode, 62, of Moyers went home to be with the Lord on Sept. 20, 2024, at the Pendleton Manor in Franklin.

She was born on Feb. 13, 1962, in Harrisonburg, Virginia, the daughter of Violet Rose Eye of Sugar Grove and the late Harry A. Eye (Dec. 2, 2015).

Mrs. Rexrode was a lifetime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She graduated from Franklin High School in 1980. While a senior she worked as an aide in Carolyn Ruddle’s kindergarten class. She worked at the Maple Restaurant in Monterey, Virginia. She was a homemaker for the late Edith Gutshall, a nurse’s aide at Pendleton Nursing Home and worked at Hanover Shoe until its closing.

On Nov. 23, 1991, she married Johnny Lee Rexrode, who preceded her in death on Jan. 14, 2023.

She also leaves behind to cherish her memory a brother, Michael Eye (Kathy) of Sugar Grove; a niece, Bethany Eye; aunts, Mary Louise Waldschlager, Joeann Moyers and Linda Jones (Tom); uncle, Delbert Rexrode (Betty); and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Melvin and Terry Rexrode of Monterey, Virginia.

She was also preceded in death by her only child, Derek John Rexrode on May 5, 2015.

Funeral services were held Wednesday in the chapel of the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin with Pastor Jerry Smith officiating. Interment was in St. Paul Church Cemetery at Sugar Grove.

Memorials may be made to PAWS, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, or Guiding Eyes for the Blind.

Memories and words of comfort may be left at www.basagic.com.
