No changes to election results were made after the May 16 canvassing and official tally of Pendleton County Primary Election votes. Elise White, county clerk, told The Pendleton Times six additional votes, including three absentees, two provisional, and one misplaced vote, were added to the overall voting tally. These votes did not impact the overall election results.

The Primary Election was the determining election for several races, while others will be decided in the General Election Nov. 8. Board of Education elected members are Teresa Heavner and JD Wilkins. Conservative District Supervisor is Charlotte R. Hoover. Democratic State Executive Committee, 11th district female, is Brenda Weese.  Democratic State Executive Committee, 11th district male, is Cody H. Thompson.

Republican State Executive Committee, 11th district female, is Lindsay Bever. Republican State Executive Committee, 11th district male, is Carl “Robbie” Martin.

These elected candidates take their seats July 1.

Local candidates who won their party nomination during the Primary Election and will run during the General election are Democratic Circuit Clerk Shalee Dunkle Wilburn, Republican County Commissioner Gene McConnell and Democratic County Clerk Elise White.

BOE members are typically decided in the Primary Election but due to Charles Burgoyne being appointed county commissioner following the death of Carole Hartman, he cannot also hold a spot on the BOE. Newly appointed board of education member Katrina Hott is preparing her platform to run in the General Election.
