
Nettie Lou Losh, 92, of Brandywine passed away on Aug. 22, 2026, at the Pendleton Manor in Franklin.
She was born on May 3, 1934, in Durbin, the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Jane “Janie” (Smith) Townsend.
Mrs. Losh attended Durbin Elementary School and had worked at various poultry plants.
She enjoyed attending church at Cedar Grove Church of the Brethren in Brandywine.
Her husband, Jacob Charles Losh, preceded her in death in 1977.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory two sons, Billy Losh and Denny Losh (Veronica), all of Brandywine; a daughter-in-law, Judy Townsend of Grottoes, Virginia; three grandchildren, Nancy, Chris, and Chasity; a number of great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Wilmer “Wink” Townsend; a brother, Arthur “Buddy” Townsend; a sister, Thelma Simmons; and three half sisters, Mary Townsend, Jearlene Lambert and Mabel Simmons.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. today at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Daryl Ritchie officiating. Inurnment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery at Brandywine.
