It is with much sadness to announce Myrtle May (Kimble) Lough, 95, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away May 27, 2024, but with much joy that she had a long and happy life.
Mrs. Lough was born Dec. 17, 1928, in Upper Tract and was the daughter of the late Riley Vernon Kimble and Grace Maude Kimble. She was one of nine children.
On Oct. 13, 1948, she married the love of her life, Stanley Mason Lough of Deer Run. They began their life in Upper Tract, but in 1962, they moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, and remained here for the rest of their lives.
She was an executive secretary for Allis-Chalmers, which later became Siemens-Allis, until she retired from the company in 1988. In her retirement, she and her husband enjoyed traveling and simply spending time together.
She was a member of the Hartzell United Methodist Church in Blue Ash, Ohio.
She loved to cook and bake and keep a well-organized home.
On Oct. 13, 2023, she and her husband celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary together, and less than a month later her beloved husband passed away on Nov. 7, 2023.
She never had any children of her own, but had many nieces and nephews and neighborhood children who loved her very much like a mom. She was a very special person to all her knew her. She will truly be missed.
She was preceded in death by all of her siblings, Margie Kimble Hedrick, Hazel Kimble Simmons, Roy Vernon Kimble, Ralph Kimble, Herb Lloyd Kimble, Maurice Adam Kimble, Sue Kimble Dudley and an infant baby that died during birth.
Burial service will be private in Cincinnati, Ohio.
