Morris Lee Mallow, 91, of Upper Tract passed away May 8, 2022, at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg.
He was born Aug. 4, 1930 in Franklin and was the son of the late O. R. Mallow and Sara J. (Riggleman) Mallow.
Mr. Mallow attended Franklin High School and married Mary Sue (Heavner) Mallow on Aug. 18, 1949.
He and his wife “Sue” built a large farming operation in the Upper Tract, West Virginia, as well as being prominent in the trucking industry.
He faithfully attended Mt. Hope Lutheran Church, and more recently the Upper Tract United Methodist Church.
His wife of 72 years, Mary “Sue” Mallow, preceded him in death.
Surviving are a daughter, Sharon Morford of Upper Tract; three sons, Donald Mallow (Linda) and Fred Mallow (Amy), all of Upper Tract, and William Mallow (Darlene) of Greenwood, South Carolina; five grandsons, Michael Mallow (Traci) of Benson, Minnesota, Phillip Mallow (Cindie) of Upper Tract, Zebulun Mallow of Morgantown, Brian Mallow (Amanda) of Albany, Georgia, and Aaron Harper; four granddaughters, Cassie Boner (Adam) of Upper Tract, Natalie Propst of Arlington, Virginia, Emily Propst of Bozeman, Montana, and Stephanie Walker (Steve) of Harrisonburg, Virginia; 12 great-grandchildren, Taelyn, Teyana, Hazel, Easton, Everett, Ezra, Eleanor, Grace, Carter, Adam, Hayden and Ava; two step-grandchildren, Phillip and Jonathan; two step-great-grandchildren, Joe and Isabel; three sisters-in-law, Betty Puffenbarger of Franklin, Helen R. Heavner of Upper Tract and Betty Lea Heavner of Louisville, Colorado; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Burgoyne; a daughter, Margaret (Maggie) Burgoyne Harper; two brothers, John M. Mallow and Stanley R. Mallow; two infant sisters, Elaine Virginia Mallow and Anna M. Mallow; a grandson, Ryan Harper; and a step-grandson, Bobby Morford.
All services were private.
