Danny O. Kisamore, 81, of Riverton passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on May 5, 2022, at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg.

He was born on Sept. 12, 1940, in Key, the son of the late Henry and Opal Bell (Wyant) Kisamore.

Mr. Kisamore attended Riverton, Circleville, and Ohio schools. He attended High Rock United Methodist Church and was a member of the Riverton American Legion Post #183.

He retired as a supervisor from the West Virginia Department of Highways, and he had worked for Hansel Hedrick Trucking and Estyl Ruddle Trucking. He was a farmer and a veteran of the US Navy.

He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and loved spending time with his family and friends.

On June 19, 1976, he married Lucy Ellen (Harper) Kisamore, who survives.

In addition to his wife, he leaves behind to cherish his memories two daughters, Anna Marie Ours (Ronnie) of Petersburg and Candace Jane Kisamore of Columbus, Ohio; two sons, Roy Dean Kisamore (Kathy) of Critz, Virginia, and Philip Wright Kisamore (Amy) of Riverton; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Lewis and Lorenzo Kisamore; and a sister, Louanna Mokos.

Funeral services were held Monday at the High Rock United Methodist Church in Riverton with Pastor Cindy Skinner officiating. Interment was in the Kisamore Family Cemetery in Riverton.

Memories and words of comfort may be left at www.basagic.com or on Facebook at Basagic Funeral Home.
