Marlon Andrew Coffey, 69, of Petersburg passed away on Aug. 14, 2025, at his home.
He was born on May 21, 1956, in Warrenton, Virginia, the son of the late Martha Lee Hitt.
Mr. Coffey had worked as a business manager for Juniper Networks in Reston, Virginia, and was a veteran of the United States Marines.
He attended Thomas Jefferson High School.
He was a network engineer and applied that knowledge to organizing and planning everything that he did. He had a passion for farming (especially beekeeping) and playing the guitar. He was very musically inclined and recorded music. He enjoyed working with his tractor and camping in the RV. His legacy of amusing people and making them laugh will live on.
On May 16, 1998, he married the love of his life, Cynthia (Cooper) Coffey, who survives.
In honoring his wishes, his body has been cremated.
