Loretta Jane Judy Harper

Loretta Jane Judy Harper, 85, of Circleville passed away on Nov. 7, 2025, at Pendleton Manor in Franklin with her husband by her side. She had been a resident there since August.

She was born on Feb. 29, 1940, in Circleville, the daughter of late Roy L. Judy “Peanut” and Minnie B. Vandevander Judy.

Mrs. Harper was a 1958 graduate of Circleville High School, and a member of Riverton United Methodist Church.

She worked at Hedrick’s 4-U Restaurant for 24 years as a cook and waitress.

She loved reading, sewing, planting the garden, working in her flower beds, collecting Fostoria glassware and working side by side with her husband on their cattle farm in Circleville.

On Dec. 25, 1957, she married Kenneth Paul Harper of Circleville, who survives

In addition to her husband, she leaves behind to cherish her memory a daughter, Lucinda “Cindy” Harper Kisamore (Keith) of Riverton; two grandchildren, Ashley Gail Kisamore-Kimble (Ashley) of Rockingham, Virginia, and Kyle Laden Kisamore (Crystan) of Seneca Rocks; four great-grandchildren, Blaiklee Harper Kimble, Briggs Karson Kimble, Laden Gray Kisamore and Amyiah Jane Kisamore; a sister, Daisy M. Hedrick of Seneca Rocks; and two brothers, Roy Lee Judy (Debbie) of Circleville and Johnny H. Judy (Rita) of Mt. Storm.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Christopher Paul Harper, in 2004; and a brother-in-law, Kenny Lee Hedrick.

Special thanks are extended to the wonderful staff at Pendleton Manor for their support and care during her last days, and additional thanks to Mt. Hospice for their care.

Funeral services were held Tuesday in the chapel of Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin with Pastor JD Wilkins and Pastor Sam Harper officating. Interment was at North Fork Memorial Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Pendleton Manor, Pendleton County Rescue Squad, Circleville and Seneca Rocks fire departments and Riverton United Methodist Church.
