Linda Kay Kile, 74, of Upper Tract passed away on April 17, 2025, at the Pendleton Manor in Franklin.

She was born on Dec. 22, 1950, in Petersburg, the daughter of the late Lester and Laura Etta (Kile) George.

Ms. Kile was a 1969 graduate of Franklin High School. She had worked at Hanover Shoe Company for 30 years until its closing and later retired from Marshalls.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory a sister, Joy Marie Lantz (Steve) of Upper Tract; a brother, Charlie George (Tammy) of Upper Tract; a half brother, Raymond George (Rebecca) of Upper Tract; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Foster, Gladen, Andy, Stanley, and Casper; and six sisters, Ethel Davis, Catherine Kesner, Rebecca Kile, Lola Belle VanMeter, Minnie Borror, and Mary Hedrick.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday at Kile-Kimble Cemetery on Ridge Road in Upper Tract with Pastor David Webb officiating.
