Lima Jean (Johnston) Stalnaker, 90, passed away Dec. 22, 2023, at University Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio.

Born June 18, 1933, in Hunting Ground, she was the daughter of the late William Guy and Shirley Arlene (Sponaugle) Johnston.

A resident of the Hiram, Ohio, area since 1975, Mrs. Stalnaker was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was a member of the Hiram Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served her church in several ways, including conducting tours through The Historic John Johnson Home in Hiram, Ohio, along with speaking and teaching classes in her church. Her family was her pride and joy. She enjoyed being surrounded by family and the more the merrier. Her passing was peaceful with more than a dozen family members by her side.

On Aug. 14, 1950, she married Commodore Perry Stalnaker, Jr. who preceded her in death in 2013.

She is survived by her children, Diana (Roger) Storm, Steven (Colleen) Stalnaker, David (Maria) Stalnaker, Joseph (Mitzi) Stalnaker, and Mary (Joe Brown) Stalnaker; 21 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; sisters Mary Olsen, whose husband Noel is deceased, Martha Stewart, whose husband Jim is deceased, and Diana (Steve) Jackson; an aunt, Halene Ogden, whose husband, Strat, is deceased; and many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and long-time friends.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley (Blaine) Robertson; a granddaughter, Stephanie (Robertson) Banks; and brothers, Thomas Johnston and William Johnston and his wife, Beverly.

Funeral services were held Jan. 6 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Hiram, Ohio, with Bishop Sears officiating.

A visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Wheeler Funeral Home in Springville, Utah. A graveside funeral service will follow at Springville Cemetery.

Her obituary and video tribute may be viewed at www.greenfuneralcare.com.

Arrangements are by the Green Funeral Care in Mantua, Ohio.
