Janis Nadeen Propst, 95, of Brandywine passed away July 25, 2026, at her home.
She was born Sept. 26, 1930, in Brandywine, and was the daughter of the late Irvin Upton Propst and Millie Marie (Eye) Propst.
Mrs. Propst was a 1949 graduate of Franklin High School and a housewife.
Her husband, John Clinton “Jack” Propst, preceded her in death on April 26, 1993.
Surviving are a daughter, Gwen Sampson-Jones (Ray Showden) of Greenbelt, Maryland; a son, Randy Propst (Holly) of Flint Hill, Virginia; a brother, Delbert “Bud” Propst of Brandywine; and two grandchildren, Matthew Sampson and Gunnar Propst.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Jolee Propst; a sister, Arvella Rexrode; and a grandson, Andrew Propst.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pine Hill Cemetery, 181 Pine Hill Lane, in Brandywine. A celebration of life service will begin at noon Saturday at Calvary Lutheran Church with Pastors Angela Lambert and Paul Schafer officiating. A luncheon will follow in the fellowship hall.
