Hedrick, Wimer, Whetzel Named PCH/MS Students of the Month

Selena Hedrick, Taylor Wimer and Kourtney Whetzel have been named outstanding students of the month for December at Pendleton County High/Middle School.

A senior, Hedrick is the Academic Student of the Month. She has been a member of FFA and Family, Career and Community Leaders of America for four years and is currently president of both organizations. She has earned FFA Greenhand and Chapter Degrees.  She has been a member of National Honor Society for two years and is currently serving as historian.  She is a member of Upward Bound and is the president of the class of 2023.  She is on the honor roll. She helps with Lambert Hilltop Park and attends Calvary Gospel Church. She plans to attend Fairmont State University and major in nursing. She is the daughter of Sherry and Alva Hedrick.

Wimer, a freshman, is the James Huffman Responsible Student of the Month. The son of Danny and Vanessa Wimer, he likes to bear and deer hunt and enjoys spending time with his friends and family. He works as a dishwasher. He plans to attend college to become a veterinarian.

The Pendleton County Middle School Student of the Month is Kourtney Whetzel. She is the daughter of Trent and Jenny Whetzel of Upper Tract. She loves spending time with her pets, especially her cat, Cleo. She enjoys doing arts and crafts, listening to music, and hanging out with her friends and family. After high school, she would like to work with animals.
