George Eric Adkins, 64, of Cherry Grove passed away on Nov. 18, 2025, at the home of his brother, Rick in Sugar Grove.
He was born on Nov. 14, 1961, in Elkins, the son of the late Raymond Adkins and Clara Leona White.
Mr. Adkins attended Circleville Schools and had worked as a sawyer.
He had a passion for hunting, fishing, and ginsenging. He had a huge heart and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
His wife of 34 years, Virginia Ruth (Ray) Adkins, preceded him in death on Sept. 17, 2020.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory three daughters, LaDonna Williams (David) of Broadway, Virginia, Becki Minnick (Mark) of McGaheysville, Virginia, and Cindy Turner of Capon Bridge; three sisters, Barbara Jean Nordzy (Steve) of Upper Tract, Anita Harris of Broadway, Virginia, and Twila Jane Adkins of Cherry Grove; two brothers, Rick Adkins (Shannon) of Sugar Grove and Mark Adkins of Cherry Grove; five grandchildren, Chasity Sisler, Nathan Turner, Mikey Turner (Bambi), Faith Williams-Terry (Jacob) and Caleb Williams; and seven great-grandchildren, Colten, Kaden, Brinley, Kenzie, Brixton, Cooper and Carter.
In honoring his wishes, his body has been cremated.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Frost
