The sounds of children splashing in the water and screaming with delight will soon be echoing at the Town of Franklin pool again.
Town officials announced the pool is scheduled to be open May 30 to Aug. 21. The pool is open Monday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday’s hours are noon to 5 p.m. The pool will operate from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays. There will be special Friday hours from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. on selective dates.
Water aerobics hours at the pool with be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:15 p.m. to 6 p.m. Lap swimming is available Monday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Officials said this year’s rates are $3 for individuals 4 years of age and older and $1 for children 3 years of age and younger as well as non-swimmers. Wednesdays are “$1 day” for all individuals. The cost for water aerobics and lap swim is $2. Children 8 years and younger must be accompanied “by a responsible individual.”
Season memberships are available for the pool. A family membership is $150 for all members of the same household. It is $60 for individuals 18 years of age and older. A season membership for a child between 4 and 17 years of age is $50.
In addition, private parties may be held at the pool. The cost is $40 per session and are available on Saturday and Sunday.
