Memorial Day

Celebration Set

At Sugar Grove

 

Our Five Boys VFW Post 9666 will be hosting a Memorial Day ceremony at noon Monday at the Richard Homan Memorial Park in Sugar Grove. Everyone is invited to attend.

 

Road Work Scheduled

On Siple Mountain Road

 

The West Virginia Department of Highways announces the closing of County Route 14 (Siple Mountain Road) for road work beginning today. The road will be closed from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday until the road work is completed. The closure will be between County Route 3 (Sweedlin Valley Road) and County Route 12 (Troublesome Valley Road).

Meal Scheduled

American Woodmark Foundation will be sponsoring “Lunch on Us” for 60+ Seniors on Friday at the North Fork Senior Center in Riverton (304-567-2240) and the Franklin Senior Center (304-358-2421). Call today to reserve a free lunch which will be served from 11:35 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

 

UT Producers

To Host 4-H

Pool Party

 

All Pendleton County 4-H members are invited to a pool party hosted by the Upper Tract Producers 4-H Club. The event will take place from 6 – 8 p.m. June 1 at the Franklin Town Pool (weather permitting).

 

PVCD Board

To Meet June 1

The Potomac Valley Conservation District board meeting will be held at 7 p.m. June 1 at the Farm Credit building, 550 S. Main Street Moorefield. The meeting agenda will be available three days prior to the meeting on the district website at www.wvca.us/district/pvcd.cfm or by contacting the Romney office at 304-822-5174.  The public is invited to participate
