On July 26, four members of the Franklin High School 1954 graduating class and eight members of the 1955 graduating class, along with nine family members or friends, met in the social hall of the Walnut Street United Methodist Church in Frankin. The reunion marked 71years since graduation by the 1954 class and 70 years for the 1955 class. An excellent meal was provided by the ladies of the church. Following the meal, a general discussion about the known living members, but absent, was held. It was very obvious that numbers are declining, and for several members who live away from Pendleton County, health issues prevent travel. Before adjourning, the group expressed a desire to continue the annual meetings. Classmates of 1954 attending were, from left, from row, Helen (Pennington) Evick and Betty Jean (Warner) Hoover; and back row, William Ray Hartman and Dale Sponaugle. Members of the 1955 class in attendance were, from left, front row, Loretta (Sponaugle) Homan, Patty (Judy) Sponaugle, Doris (Armstrong) Douglas, Orva (Hammer) Sponaugle and Bernadine (Kiser) Raney; and back row, Carroll Mitchell, Bruce Hoover and Charles Lambert.
