The Christmas season kicked off Nov. 12 at Raymond’s Gymnastics located in Upper Tract.
The industrial building, where the gymnastics center is housed, was all decked out in Christmas décor and live music filled the air.
Krystal and Kevin Raymond held the Family Fun Day fundraiser for the gymnastics center with everyone in mind.
There were multiple craft tables set up for children to do everything from creating ornaments to making bracelets and getting their faces painted.
However, crafts weren’t the only thing available for children. Santa, Mrs. Claus, and one of their elves made an appearance. Parents were able to get pictures of their children with Santa, while children could tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas. Each child walked away with a candy cane and a $2 bill.
Santa wasn’t the only one to make an appearance. The Grinch showed up as well.
For children who did not want to sit on Santa’s lap there was a station where they could write a Santa letter and a special mailbox for the letter.
While children were waiting in line for Santa, or just because they wanted to, they could hit the dance floor and “cut a rug” or get a bite to eat of Fox’s pizza, hotdogs, and s’mores.
Adults could start on some Christmas shopping with local vendors. In addition, adults could purchase tickets for multiple raffles, including gift certificates, a gun or baskets.
Outside there was horseback riding, a fire and Meadowbrook’s Farm food truck selling smoked pork and sides.
The Raymonds pulled out all the stops to create a successful Family Fun Day.
