Dolan Mallow, 88, of Seneca Rocks passed away Nov. 24, 2024, at his home.
He was born on Aug. 7, 1936, in Onego, the son of the late Omar Lee Mallow and Mable (Morral) Hedrick.
Mr. Mallow attended school in the Seneca Rocks and Onego area and retired from the West Virginia Department of Highways in Riverton after 30 years of service.
He was a former member of the National Rifle Association. In his early years, he enjoyed hunting and working on vehicles. As time went on, he found pleasure reclining in his chair and watching old westerns.
He leaves behind a legacy of love for his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was married to his bride of 61 years, Patricia Mary Ellen (Kile) Mallow, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Wendy Riffle (James) of Inwood and Christina Weatherholtz of Middletown, Virginia; four sons, Dolan Scott Mallow of Riverton, Robert Wayne Mallow (Dawn) of Weirs Cove, Virginia, and Joshua Samuel Mallow and Jeremy Dean Mallow (April Thompson), all of Seneca Rocks; two sisters, Sharon Bonner and Donna Zahn; two brothers, Larry and Robert Mallow; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two foster grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Ray and Ricky Mallow and Chester “Jake” Arbogast; and two sisters, Ruby Kisamore and Grace Corbitt.
Funeral services were held Friday in the chapel of the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg with Pastor David Miller officiating. Interment was in the North Fork Mennonite Church Cemetery.
