He was born on June 27, 1939, in Onego and was a son of the late Harry Vance and Kate Mallow.

Mr. Mallow was a graduate of Circleville High School class of 1959.

He relocated to Northern Virginia and was a general superintendent for Harkins Builders. He retired from CHS Inc in 2004.   He and his wife enjoyed woodworking, along with fishing, hunting, NASCAR racing and driving his Corvette in the Tri-County Fair parade.

He attended Lahmansville United Methodist Church.

His wife of 59 years, Carol (Nelson) Mallow, survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Michael Anthony (Wendy) Mallow of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and Bradley Dice (Beth) Mallow of Petersburg; a brother, Roy (Judy) Mallow of Maysville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Carol Sue (Mallow) Turner; and his grand-dogs, Bandit, Smokey, Diamond and Harlee.

Funeral services were held Friday in the chapel of the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg with the Reverends Roger and Ann Harrison officiating. Interment was in the Lahmansville Cemetery, 6385 Patterson Creek Road, Lahmansville, WV 26731.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lahmansville United Methodist Church, American Cancer Society or charity of donor’s choice.
