Deborah Wilks Alt, 76, of York, South Carolina, passed away at her home on May 9, 2024.

She was born on Aug. 5, 1947, in Gainesville, Georgia, a daughter of the late Richard Wilkes and Margaret Maddox Wilkes.

Mrs. Alt was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed every moment spent with her family.

She was a member of Union Baptist Church in York, South Carolina.

Her loving husband of 57 years, Bobby Alt, survives.

Also surviving are sons, Douglas Alt (Adrienne) and John Alt (Crystal); a daughter-in-law, Theresa Alt; grandchildren, Benjamin, Ashley, and Danielle; and great-grandson, Wyatt Thomas.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Alt.

A celebration of life service was held Saturday at Union Baptist Church in York, South Carolina, with the Reverend Ray Long and Reverend Thomas Broom officiating.

Bratton Funeral Home of York, South Carolina, served the Alt family.
