Multiple Pendleton County residents achieved academic honors during the spring 2025 semester at Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College in Moorefield.
Earning President’s List honors, which requires completing 12 or more credit hours with a 4.0 grade point average, were Kelsey Cook, Myra Mitchell, Miranda Simon, and Sarah Zirkle.
Dean’s List recipients, earned for completing nine or more credit hours with at least a 3.5 grade point average, were Elizabeth Alt, Leah Bennett, Loretta Graham, Lydia Heavner, Aubree Keiter, Paigelyn Long, Nancy Miller, Jenna Smith, and Carolyn Varner.
Merit List recipients, which requires completing six or more credit hours with a 3.25 grade point average, were Baylee Beachler, Hannah Bennett, Madisen Brooks, Emma Hartman, Ella Johnston, Clayton Kisamore, Emily Poling, Addison Rexrode, Nicholas Rhodes, Taylor Roberson, Avery Townsend, Shelba Vincell, and Brynlynn Waggy.
Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College serves six rural counties in the Potomac Highlands. The college offers 14 degree programs (including six fully online), 12 certificates, and more than 30 transfer pathways to four-year schools. Its Workforce Education department provides 15+ training programs in various formats and specialized agriculture innovation training, including mentorship opportunities for farm fellows. Eastern supports students and the community through its career center, offering job placement, resume help, and interview preparation. The college is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
