County Commission Changes Meeting Date

The Pendleton County Commission has changed the date for holding its meetings. The meetings will be held at 9 a.m. the first and third Mondays of the month in the county commission office in the courthouse.

 

Library Friends

To Meet Tuesday

 

Friends of the Library will meet at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the meeting room at Pendleton County Library in Franklin.

 

Senior Sponsored

Meal Scheduled

Summit Community Bank and Yokum’s Vacationland will be sponsoring “Lunch on Us” for 60+ Seniors on Friday at the North Fork Senior Center in Riverton (304-567-2240) and the Franklin Senior Center (304-358-2421). Call today to reserve a free lunch which will be served from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

 

Lenten Luncheons

Continue at

Walnut Street UMC

The annual Lenten Luncheons, hosted by the Pendleton County Ministerial Association, continue today at Walnut Street United Methodist Church in Franklin. The message will be delivered at noon. Following the message, attendees have the option of eating inside or taking a lunch with them.

Pastor Cindy Skinner will deliver the message and the meal will be provided by St. John and Calvary Lutheran churches.

Next week’s speaker will be Pastor Mike Loudermilk, and the meal will be provided by Faith and Mt. Hope Lutheran Churches.

 

PVCD Board

To Meet April 6

The Potomac Valley Conservation District board meeting will be held at 7 p.m. April 6 by teleconference. Instructions are posted at www.wvca.us/district/pvcd.cfm or by contacting the office at 304-822-5174. The meeting agenda will be available three days prior to the meeting on the website or by contacting the Romney office.  The public is invited to participate.
