Recycling Event

Set for Saturday

The North Fork 4-H Club, in conjunction with North Fork Disposal/Recycling, are hosting a community recycling event from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Clinton Hedrick Community Building parking lot in Riverton.  Materials should be cleaned and sorted. Eligible materials are plastics 1 and 2, cardboard, and aluminum and tin cans.  No trash will be accepted.

 

TMF Association

To Gather May 12

 

The Treasure Mountain Festival Association will meet at 6 p.m. May 12 at the bowling alley in Franklin. All interested persons are invited to attend.

 

UT Producers

To Meet Monday

 

The Upper Tract Producers 4-H Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Upper Tract Training Center. Visual presentations will be discussed.

 

Post 30

To Gather

 

American Legion Pendleton Post 30 will meet at 6:30 p.m. May 11 at the Star Restaurant in Franklin.

 

Quilters To 

Meet Monday

 

The Sew and Sews Quilt Guild will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at Faith Lutheran Church in Franklin. The activity will be instructions for an orphan block pouch and other ideas for orphan blocks.

 

Tire Collection

Set in Petersburg

The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection will be collecting tires from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the RCS Transport Lot at 2 Airport Road in Petersburg.

Individuals may dispose of up to 10 tires per person. The tires must be off the rims, and only car and light truck tires will be accepted. The WVDEP requests that individuals stay in their vehicles when dropping off the tires.
