Region 8 PDC To Meet Nov. 20

The Region 8 Planning and Development Council will meet at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 20 at the Region 8 office located at 131 Providence Lane in Petersburg.

Family Safety Day Scheduled

The Pendleton County Strive to Thrive Family Support Center on Main Street in Franklin is hosting a Family Safety Day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Turkey Luncheon To Be Held Nov. 20

The Pendleton County Ministerial Association will host a turkey luncheon with all the fixings from noon until 1 p.m. Nov. 20 at the Walnut Street Methodist Church in Franklin. The meal is free, but donations to the ministerial associa-tion are welcome and will help meet needs in the com-munity.

Crestmen To  Sing Sunday at St. Paul Church

The Crestmen will be sharing the gospel in song at 9:45 a.m. Sunday at St. Paul Church. This quartet has been singing southern gospel music for many years and will be retiring at the end of this year. This will be one of their last concerts. A soup and sandwich meal will follow the worship expe-rience. The church is located at 4198 Doe Hill Road in Moyers. Everyone is invited.

Operation Christmas Child Boxes To Be Collected Nov. 17-23

Operation Christmas Child boxes will be collected Nov. 17 – 23 at Living Faith Church located on Rt. 33 East of Franklin.
The boxes may be dropped off from noon until 4 p.m. Nov. 17 to 21, from 10 a.m. to noon on Nov. 22 and from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Nov. 23.
If one has a conflict with dropoff times, contact Jo Lynn Mitchell at 304-668-1739.

Donations Needed For Food Pantry

As a person plans for the Thanksgiving holidays, please consider making a food or monetary donation to CAN as it provides much needed food to community members. CAN is open 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tues-days and Thursdays. Dona-tions can be sent to PO Box 503, Franklin, WV 26807.

Recycling Event Set for Saturday

North Fork 4-H Club will hold its recycling event from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Country Decor and More in Riverton. This is a change in location. Materials need to be cleaned and sorted. Card-board, plastics one and two, and aluminum and tin cans will be collected. No trash will be accepted.
