Quilters To Meet

The Sew and Sews Quilt Guild will gather at 7 p.m. Monday at Faith Lutheran Church in Franklin. A presentation on the different kinds of needles will be given by Kitty Carson. Anyone interested in quilting is welcome to attend. (Note change in meeting time.)

Food Handler’s Classes Planned

Pendleton County Health Department will be holding food handler’s classes. The classes will be held at the Pendleton Community Building in Franklin on May 13 – 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.; June 12 – 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.; June 18 – 10 a.m.; and July 2 – 2 p.m. Classes will be held at the Clinton Hedrick Community Building in Riverton on May 27 at 10 a.m. and June 25 at 5:00 p.m. A Zoom class will begin at 6 p.m. on June 17. To schedule a class, call 304-358-7565.

Post 30 To Meet

American Legion Pendleton Post 30 will meet at 6:30 p.m. May 14 at the Star Restaurant in Franklin.

Senior Sponsored Meal Scheduled

Pendleton Community Bank will be sponsoring “Lunch on Us” meals for seniors aged 60+ on May 16 at the Franklin Senior Center. Lunch is served from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Please contact the senior center at 304-358-2421 by 2 p.m. May 13 to reserve a meal.

Family Support Center in Franklin Sponsors Activities

The Pendleton County Strive to Thrive Family Support Center on Main Street in Franklin is sponsoring the following two events at the center:

Petal power, a Mother’s Day activity, at 5 p.m. today;

Grounds for Discussion at 9:30 a.m. on May 14. For more information, call 304-538-7711.
