Food Safety Presentation Set

The Pendleton County Strive to Thrive Family Support Center on Main Street in Franklin is sponsoring a food safety presentation at 4:30 p.m. April 24.

Bluegrass/Gospel Sing Scheduled At Onego Church

A bluegrass/gospel sing, featuring the Maysville Express, will begin at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Onego Brethren Church. Refreshments will be provided.

Region 8 PDC To Meet Today

The Region 8 Planning and Development Council will meet at 12:30 p.m. today at the Region 8 PDC office located at 131 Providence Lane in Petersburg.

Lenten Lunches Conclude Today

The annual Lenten Lunches hosted by the Pendleton County Ministeral Association will be held at noon today at Walnut Street United Methodist Church in Franklin.

A meal, consisting of soups, sandwiches, desserts and drinks, will be served at noon. The message will be delivered at 12:30 p.m.

This week’s meal will be provided by Circleville, Seneca Rocks and High Rock churches. The message will be delivered by Gary Cecil.

Holy Week Services Planned

The Mountain Lutheran Parish will have worship services during Holy Week and on Easter Sunday at all five churches. Maundy Thursday services will be at 7 p.m. at Mt. Hope in Upper Tract and at St. John in Moyers. Good Friday services will begin at 7 p.m. at Calvary in Brandywine and at Faith in Franklin. Easter Sunday: A sunrise service will be held at 7 a.m. at St. John in Moyers with breakfast afterwards and then a regular service at 8:30 a.m. Mt. Hope in Upper Tract will have a service at 7 a.m. Calvary in Brandywine will have a joint sunrise service with Francis Asbury at 7 a.m. at Sugar Grove Cemetery, then breakfast at Calvary at 7:45 a.m. with an Easter service at 9:15 a.m. followed by an Easter egg hunt. Faith in Franklin will have a service at 11 a.m.

Mountaintop Ministries with Pastor Mike Loudermilk will have a Maundy Thursday at 7 p.m. today at Franklin United Methodist Church. A Good Friday service will begin at 7 p.m. at Walnut Street United Methodist Church in Franlin. An Easter sunrise service will be held at 7 a.m. at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Deer Run. Breakfast will follow.

An Easter morning service will be held at 8 a.m. at the North Fork Church of the Brethen on Snowy Mountain Road in Circleville. Breakfast will follow around 9 a.m.

Everyone is welcome to attend services at any of the churches.
