Recycling Event Scheduled

North Fork 4-H and North Fork Disposal are hosting a community recycling event from 9 – 11 a.m. Saturday at the Clinton Hedrick Community Building parking lot in Riverton. Materials should be cleaned and sorted: cardboard, plastics 1 and 2 and aluminum and tin cans. No trash accepted.

Library Friends To Meet Tuesday

The Friends of the Library will gather at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in the community room of the Pendleton County Library in Franklin.

All are welcome to attend.

Lenten Lunches Continue Today

The annual Lenten Lunches hosted by the Pendleton County Ministeral Association continue at noon today at Walnut Street United Methodist Church in Franklin.

A meal, consisting of soups, sandwiches, desserts and drinks, will be served at noon. The message will be delivered at 12:30 p.m.

This week’s meal will be provided by Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and Franklin Presbyterian Church. The message will be delivered by John Windett.

Next week’s meal will be provided by St. John and Mt. Hope Lutheran churches. The message will be delivered by Paul Schafer, pastor of the Mountain Lutheran Parish.

Family Support Center in Franklin Sponsors Activity

The Pendleton County Strive to Thrive Family Support Center on Main Street in Franklin is sponsoring the following events:

Hero Day for firemen, police and emergency medical service with free food and a resource fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the Pendleton Community Building in Franklin; and Paint the Town Blue on Main Street in Franklin at 4:30 p.m. April 2.
